Chicken Afritada

Cheese into Chicken Afritada? Sometimes I am creating my own recipes and exploring other ingredients and when it's done it will surprise you!

chicken with tomato sauce filipino recipe is always present into any kind of occasions or celebrations in the philippines.  If you are using potato, carrots, bell pepper, green peas, we called it "Afritada Menu ". It is a recipe to brag in the philippines, Now it is up to you if you like to use Chicken or pork into your afritada, others are also using Pork as one of the main ingredients in afritada, but usually it only have one taste which is a taste of panlasang pinoy.. 

Now let see and start cooking...

Chicken Afritada Ingredients;

1 Onions (cut it into cubes)
3 cloves of garlic
1/2 Chicken (any part that you preferred but I liked most wings)
3 pieces potato (small)
1 Bell Pepper
1 Pack tomato sauce
1 small can of Green Peas
1 carrots (depends on the size)
1 cup of water
1 cup grated parmesan cheese

1 table spoon butter
salt 
ground black pepper
3 tables spoon sugar
paprika powder

Now, If you have all these ingredients on your table then lets head on the procedures;

In a heated pan, put butter to saute the onions, and the Garlic.
next put the chicken on it, and mix it together so that the taste of onions and garlic will spread to the chicken, add a bit of salt and pepper, let chicken cook until brown and flip it for other side to be cook as well, what I do first to my chicken before frying, is, I always slice it side by side so that we don't have a bloody chicken which kills our appetite while we are eating. 



When you think your chicken is cooked enough, you can add the carrots and the potato mix them all,  since everything is dry, Add the 1 cup of water and mix it again, and let it simmer until the carrots and the potato is cooked. (Estimated 15 mins) 

After 15 mins, You can now add the 1 pack tomato sauce, mix it together then add the bell pepper, green peas,  parmesan cheese and for to taste add a bit of salt, pepper, sugar, paprika powder.. let it simmer for about 7 mins, to absorb all the ingredients ,. and the last always check it with a use of teaspoon so that you know if you get the right taste of it..
